Indianapolis-based RealMed Corporation provides innovative services to facilitate information and transactions between insurance companies, health care providers and consumers. Its patent pending business system significantly streamlines current methods of health insurance claims processing and payment by providing end-to-end resolution of claims at the point of service.

Early on the company knew it needed patent, copyright and trademark protection for its innovative processes, says Scott Herbst, general counsel.
