The Firm offers
a full range of legal services relating to intellectual property
law in the United States and in foreign countries, from registering
trademarks and prosecuting patents to litigating cases. Services
include:
- Assessing
the patentability of new inventions, including conducting preliminary
patentability searches by computer or manually in the United States
Patent and Trademark Office;
- Preparing,
filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the United States
Patent and Trademark Office and in foreign countries;
- Assessing
the availability of new trademarks, service marks, certification
marks, collective marks, and trade names for adoption and use
in the United States and in foreign countries, including conducting
computerized searches for conflicting marks and trade names in
the United States and in foreign countries;
- Preparing,
filing and prosecuting applications to register trademarks, service
marks, certification marks and collective marks in the United
States Patent and Trademark Office, in any of the 50 states, and
in foreign countries;
- Preparing,
filing, and prosecuting copyright registration applications for
all works of authorship, including computer software;
- Negotiating
and drafting assignments, licenses, and all other forms of technology
transfer agreements for all forms of intellectual property;
- Representing
clients in trade secret matters, including negotiating and preparing
employer/employee agreements and confidential disclosure agreements;
- Analyzing
competitive situations and assessing the applicability of unfair
competition laws;
- Assessing
the validity and enforceability of patents, trademarks and copyrights;
- Litigating
intellectual property disputes (including contingent fee litigation)
in all state and federal courts and before all administrative
agencies, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office;
and
- Coordinating
the resolution of foreign intellectual property disputes through
the Firm's foreign associates.
